Practical 7

Well, I suppose I'll answer the practical 7 questions.

Question 1:
The best criteria I could use was Coverage. This is because in a website like STOMP, there will be many people commenting on all the different stories in the website and even adding their own sides such as pictures etc. Thus, the best way to evaluate it in my opinion was to base it on the content. In my view, the information in STOMP may not be completely reliable as the information is by many citizens in Singapore. Also, we are not sure about the whole picture of the story. Thus, some comments might even be exaggerated. Thus, in this practical, I have learned that sometimes we need to look at the context of the website and who are the ones participating in the citizen journalism so as to make a stand on its reliability.

Question 2:
Sharing my views in the wiki was a way I could get to let everyone know what sort of stand I took to citizen journalism. I feel that when it comes to citizen journalism, there should be a respect of privacy and for others and relevent information to be posted. i feel that I could open myslef better in the wiki.
